Food styling requires a uniquely developed set of skills and knowledge. While it incorporates culinary disciplines, the actual challenge is to structurally create compositions to the singular eye of a lens that communicate quickly and efficiently. It requires that the stylist be able to listen, communicate and and ultimately create a visual experience that caters to the customer and the camera. Every project has unique challenges that call upon skill sets from composition to structural engineering in order to capture a specific narrative moment that engages the consumer and lives up to every expectation of the client. To achieve any visual solution, food photographers, food stylists and creatives have to work together. This collaborative and creative process is what drew me to being a food stylist.
With more than 20 years as a food stylist, I’ve worked with a variety of production agencies and brands on packaging, branding, marketing, editorial, video, and films. Along the way, it’s been a privilege to join forces with dynamic creatives and some of the most exceptional food photographers in the county .
For all of my clients, I bring a professional history of industry knowledge and uniquely established food styling skills. I am always drawing from my extensive history in all aspects of production, design, advertising, visual merchandising and sales. Whether it's marketing convenience foods, consumer food products, or creating a visual food-related narrative, my job as a food stylist is to deliver the best for my clients.
